We all have times when we wish we had said something special and meaningful to a loved one or aquiantance. It’s a common fact of life that we often get these feelings when it’s unfortunately too late to do anything about it.
A living obituary is a way of gifting someone special an illustration of your sentiments whilst they are still around to appreciate the praise. It can also be an ideal birthday present, a way to mark a special anniversary, a poignant farewell from a job or location, or any number of other applications.
There’s also nothing whatsoever to stop you getting one for yourself as a reminder of your own self-worth, or as an illustration of how you’d like to be remembered.
Following the same pattern as a eulogy, the groundwork for a living obituary will be established by a meeting of up to two hours in length followed by some communication to fine-tune it. The standard length of document would be from between 500 to 1,500 words, although there is some flexibility.
